Welcome to the Barton Invitational Page.
The Barton Invitational is an annual event in which the Barton men travel
to a different NFL stadium each year to attend a professional football game.
The invitational started in 1988. At that time, it was primarily focused
around traveling to Chicago to watch the Bears play. After a few years of
going to Chicago, it was decided that we should 'broaden our horizons' and
start touring different stadiums. Thus, the stadium tour was born. Even
more recently, the stadium tour included memorial shirts. Check out the
history of the invitational. (including
dates, cities, stadiums, scores and some recent pictures) This year (2009),
marks the 22nd year of the Invitational. This year we will travel to St Louis
to watch the Rams take on the Cardinals.
Recently, a splinter faction of the stadium tour, The Barton Women's Auxiliary
Spa Tour (our name for it), has sprung up. It's mission is to give equal
time off to the Women of the Barton Clan. Although, as of this writing,
they didn't have shirts. Update: The splinter faction never took off. It
ended before it started.
