A couple days away from christmas. Lucas just had his 6th birthday.
It was a small celebration at home. We are getting ready for the
holidays now (although the weather seems pretty warm for Christmas
(averaging in the 50s for most of December). Anyway, that's about
it. Just letting you know that there are new pictures up. Go check

A couple months between updates, let's see if I can remember everything
that's happened. Alex and Lucas have started school (it was Lucas'
FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN!) He was (and still is) very excited.
We took the kids fishing. We had a great time catching fish. Alex
turned 10! He had his birthday in
September. We went down to Florida in October. Kids had fun at the
beach and chasing all of the lizards. We climbed all over this old
foundation of a house (In New Smyrna - It's called a 'fort'). We
even got our picture on the front page of the local newspaper! (No
story, just a picture of Mike and Lucas) Spent a day at Universal
Studios Islands of Adventure. Lots of fun riding all the rides.
While there, we stayed at the Nickelodeon hotel. It was a bit pricey,
but very cool (lots of activities including water slides!). That's
about it, as always there are lots of pictures, so go check them
out!

Just a quick update. Just uploaded a bunch of pictures. Alex and Lucas
have finished up little league. Alex also was in acting camp in July.
He had a great time (he is quite the ham). We were at Uncle Scott's
place last weekend. Kids had a great time out on his boat. They even
took turns piloting the boat! Alex started full contact football last
week (and loved it!) They run the kids through a bunch of drills and
then conduct a draft. We'll have to wait and see where Alex ends up.
This means the NFL season is about to start (Today is the Hall Of
Fame Game!) That's all. Thanks for stopping by!

A couple more months means...another update. Dog is doing well.
It seems to be putting up with us :). Alex and Lucas are out of
school. Lucas is getting ready for his first year of school next
year, by attending safety town. (Teaching kids about crossing streets,
bus safety, stranger safety,...) Both are playing little league
and Alex is going to try acting over the summer! We've all been
very busy, Shari is participating on several church committees and
Mike was just asked to be on the church pre-school board. (The church
provides day care facilities) Along with board/committee participation,
Mike also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He wields a mean
hammer. We were able to determine this by looking at his thumb!
(Smashed it good! See the pictures) We just got back from our nephews
high school graduation. Hard to believe that he's off to college...<sniff>.
Lastly, Bartoncentral is under new management (same 'ol webmaster).
We have switched hosting services. (you may have noticed we were
off-line for about a month...or maybe you didn't) We have also made
some enhancements to the site. We have added a forum, with games.
Just go all the way back to the bartoncentral homepage and stick
phpBB2 at the end of the url (just do it. I am not going to make
a link, because I don't want the page spidered...it's our little

A couple months have passed since the last update. Only one thing
to note: we now have a dog. We'd been looking for a dog for a couple
months, and we finally found one at a shelter. It's a mix (Terrier
and retriever we think). Kinda looks like Benji. We picked her up
about a month ago and she has been really good. (goes outside, doesn't
bark inside, good with the kids) we really got lucky. Skiing has
ended, but not before we managed to get everybody out on skis! Don't
believe me, check out the pictures. Other than that, we still haven't
won the lottery, and the family is healthy. So not much more to

Wow, 2006. I really need to update this site more. Work and family
have been keeping us all busy. We went to Jacksonville for the Invitational.
Alex has correctly pointed out that the Invitational is a curse
for the hometeam (they alway seem to lose!) Christmas has come and
gone. Kids got a ton of stuff. Favorite so far has been some movies
that they got. (I say so far because we also get a basket ball pole/net.
We haven't been able to install it yet) We also got a new digital
camera. Still trying to figure out all of the options. (Go check
out the new pictures and MOVIES!). Kids are both skiing now. Alex
is out of lessons, and Lucas just started. Just got back from Troy,
NY where we celebrated Mike's father's 70th birthday (a bit early).
Tremendous surprise! (again, go check the pictures to see him in
a pig hat!) That's it for now. Keep checking back...more stuff will
