October 22, 2002
Just a quick update. We just returned our trip to Florida.
We spent a couple of days on the east coast with Grammy and Grandpa,
and then traveled to Orlando to see the Magic Kingdom! The
weather was REALLY hot (90-95 degrees!). It didn't bother
the kids much. The ocean was nice (about 80 degrees).
The kids loved The Magic Kingdom (not to self (and other parents
with small kids) small kids don't really "get" the whole
MGM thing. The only things for small kids to do is Playhouse
Disney (we missed it both times we tried) and the muppet section.)
Alex thought Disney was great. His favorite attraction was
the Buzz Lightyear ride. We must of gone on that about a dozen
times. Anyway, there are pictures in the picture section.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
October 5, 2002 (Shari's birthday)
Wow, not such a long time between updates, but a lot of activity
since the last one. Where to start... well, Michael no longer
works for Dynax. Dynax decided to dedicate it's resources
to focus on it's home market (NYC) After they fired the sales
person and his boss (director of the mid-west region) he saw the
handwriting on the wall and decided to punch out. So he submitted
his resignation on a Thursday. That day a trampoline shows
up at the door (we were expecting it). The next day, Mike
breaks the ring finger on his right hand (see pictures). Saturday
the trampoline is set up. Sunday Alex breaks his arm on the
trampoline (not a fracture, a break!) By Monday the trampoline
was boxed up to be shipped back. Thank god, Terry (Mike's
brother) was able to take a week off and come down and help up.
He may not realize it, but he was a big help! Both Mike and
Alex are out of their bandages, and are practically healed.
(Alex is in physical therapy) Anyway, Mike is still a consultant,
and still has the same client (Eaton). He just has a different
employer.
Well, October is here, and that means football season is upon us!
Alex got to see his first professional football game. Mike
and Alex went to the Cleveland/Cincinnati game. (Cleveland
won) One nice thing about living out here is that we are close to
Goodyear's headquarters. So we often get to see blimps flying
overhead (see pictures section). Anyway, check out the pictures,
and thanks for surfing by! I almost forgot! Alex started
kindergarten!!! He loves it! (He'll grow out of it)
It's amazing how fast he is learning stuff. We have pictures
of his first day, getting on the bus!

Wow, a long time between updates...I am updating this from our vacation
in DE...(we took a bunch of pictures so don't forget to check them
out!)...where to begin...well, Luke has been through a ton of antibiotics.
Long story short, he had a severe sinus infection that had him on
antibiotics for a couple of months. Luke went for his checkup,
he is around 3' and 32lbs (he's huge (somebody remind me to replace
this with his actual height and weight)) Winter lasted pretty
long (it stayed cool pretty long) then Summer came with a vengeance
and it has been really hot. We went to Shari's sisters and
Mike got sunburned. Alex took in his first baseball game!
He didn't find it very exciting...:) Five days after returning
from Shari's sister's, we drove to Delaware to vacation for a week
with Mike's family. Note to self...don't schedule back to
back vacations...Anyway, here we are on vacation...it's hard to
remember what has happened in the past 6 months...thanks for stopping
by!
January 6, 2002
well, another couple of months have gone by between updates...I
am writing this during the Packers/Giants game, so excuse me if
I pause...Well, Luke is now 1 year old! He is also walking! He started
walking about 1 1/2 months ago and now he motors around pretty well.
Luke is still huge. He is off the charts for height and weight.
Christmas has come and gone. The kids got tons of presents. Mike's
family was in town. All went well until Christmas eve, when Mike's
dad went down in the tub. He badly bruised his hip and ribs. Nothing
was broken, but he couldn't get out of bed much. (Pack is up 34-17...Pack
fumbled on the 1... NYG are driving...Jue just went down.) Alex
has become addicted to playing nintendo. In fact, the day Mike's
family arrived, he was playing and somehow sprained his neck while
playing (We have called it "Nintendo neck") Today, he got his
thumb wedged in the sliding/pocket doors. After he stopped crying
he said..."This is the thumb I play nintendo with!"
Anyway, it has finally gotten cold and snow has started to fall.
Lucas thinks it's great, however there's really not enough snow
to play in, so Alex thinks it's not great. That's all, the game
is almost over, check out the pictures for some shots of Alex playing
Nintendo and for some holiday/family shots.
