More updates. Fall is firmly here. That means two things
FOOTBALL and LADYBUGS. Checkout the pictures page for a shot
of one of our windows covered with ladybugs. It wasn't the
most populated window, just the one with the best light. Alex
had his 5 year birthday. He is growing so fast. He got
a ton of presents. The toy of the year for him is Rescue Heroes.
Also, as you can tell by the date, we just had Halloween.
Alex made out like a king! We have some candy left over (even
though at the end of the night we were giving it away by the fistful)
We need to get it out of the house soon, before we all blow up to
the size of the house. (and Thanksgiving and Christmas are
around the corner!) That's all for now. Check out Alex
and Luke's picture section. I've added more for October.

Wow, still not able to update as often as I wanted to. Well
the summer is pretty much over, it was really hot for a while, but
overall it was nice. The basement is finished, it came out
great. It a great place to put all the toys and videos and
stuff. Alex and Luke seem to enjoy playing down there (so
we declare it a success!). In other house news, I went up
to seal and paint the window sills, of the attic dormers, and found
they were too rotted to be repaired. So I went out and got
some pressure treated lumber and had it tapered to resemble a window
sill. Then I ripped out the rotted sills and replaced them
with the treated wood. THEN, I covered them with flashing
to further protect them. THEN, I sealed the bottom of the
window to the new flashing. It didn't take as long as I thought,
and I have a few pictures from the project.
Go take a look!!!
In other news, Mike just bought a new car. The Bonneville
was having some issues (lots of A/C problems, the check engine light
was coming on,...), so while there was some resale value left, we
traded it in for a new Concord LXi.
Finally, both kids went for a checkup (Luke for his 9 month and
Alex for his 5 year) Here are the stats:
Luke: 23 1/2 lbs (95th
- 100th percentile); 31 1/4" tall (Way off the charts!)
Alex: 45 1/2 lbs (75th
percentile); 43 1/4" tall (75th percentile)
That's right, my 9 month old is 1 foot shorter than my 5 year old!
Also, New pictures are up!

A while between updates...
It's a little harder updating this site (plus, I am swamped at work...not
that I do this at work...I hope they aren't reading this :)).
A couple of updates. First a Luke update: At Luke's
4 month checkup he was 18lbs 1oz and 26 3/4" long. At
his 6 month checkup he was 19lbs 13oz (95th percentile) and 29 1/4"
long (OFF THE CHARTS!). Also we have a bunch of summer projects,
the garden (which is coming up!) and we are finishing the basement!
It's taking a while, but it is almost done! We're finishing
3/4 of the basement and adding a bathroom. Finally, I have
added a section for pictures of Alex and Luke. I am hoping
to update it a little more frequently. Note that for security
reasons, that section is password protected. Please contact
me if you need access.

Just one change today, we have moved our site to www.bartoncentral.com.
The geocities site was a little too problematic (slow, ads, ...)
So we bought our own domain name, and voila! The family is doing
well, Luke goes for his 4 month checkup soon, so look for that update.
Thanks for stopping by...

Well, there are some minor changes being made to this site. I am
removing some of the javascript that makes the navigation change
when you move over it. AOL users (my 60+ year old mom) were having
issues with the code. This should also help the pages load faster.
Luke went for his 2 month old checkup. He is 25 1/2" long (off the
chart) and 14lbs 15oz (95% percentile) That's about all for now.
More updates as they happen. Thanks for surfing by.
January 17, 2001.
Wow where to start. So much has happened since the last update.
Happy New Year. And welcome to the REAL beginning of the new millenium.
Well 2001 is here, that means Christmas has come and gone. Alex
was overwhelmed again. His favorite toy so far is the Rescue Heros
talking action figures. (Note: He also got a HUGE motorized truck.
But can't ride it outside due to the cold weather/snow. When it
warms up, this will probably become his new favorite.) Luke has
no favorite toy (except for mommy). Speaking of Luke, he went for
his 1 month checkup. He is 12 lbs 14 oz. And he is 23 1/2" long.
HE IS OFF THE CHART FOR 1 MONTH OLDS! His head circumference is
in the 95 percentile. Everybody is doing well. We are all just a
little tired.
